Following their visit from Mark’s Ark, the children in 1NC have been busy writing their own information leaflets about a range of minibeasts.

Please click the links below to read a selection of leaflets from the class.

Well done to everyone for such beautiful presentation and a really interesting selection of facts – I have certainly learnt a lot of new information about minibeasts.

Geevor Mine Rap

Year 2 had a fantastic trip to Geevor Mine earlier this week.  Class 2GB have used this as their inspiration to write and perform this amazing rap.

I am sure you will be as impressed as I was with their writing and performance skills.  Well done 2GB!

If you enjoyed listening to this, please leave a comment to encourage the class to write and perform even more songs.

Making Rainforest Shelters

160516 Rainforest Shelters 1

Inspired by their visit to the Eden Project and learning about the Kombai Tribe, Year 5 have designed and made their own rainforest shelters.

The designs had to include a water filtration system and the shelters all have their own little touches, such as the double storey shelter from Euganie complete with hammocks to the washing hanging up on James and Riley’s shelter and the bed and table which can be found in Jude and George’s shelter.

As well as some impressive DT skills, the class worked well with their partners to design and produce these shelters.  Well done to you all!

Rainforest Animations

Year 5 have been researching information on the rainforests and putting together a series of animations based on their pictures.  I hope you enjoy this video from Sofia and Jamie

Sofia and Jamie worked really well together to include their research facts alongside their own animation as well as those by fellow clasmates: James, Riley, Adrian, Ross, Stanley, Poppy and Kyla.

Great work – well done!
